Accounting Services Staff

The Accounting Services Department is responsible for all accounting functions for our clients except cash management and investments. These services include accounts receivable, accounts payable, claims payment accounting, and all required statutory and regulatory accounting.

Dawn Leader, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer

As Senior Vice President and Chief Operations officer, Dawn oversees the day-to-day activities of the company. She is a specialist in accounting systems, database functions and systems administration. Dawn holds a degree in accounting from Waukesha County Technical College and is a certified ACCPAC consultant. She has been with the firm since 2003.

Patrick Kania, Chief Statutory Accounting Officer

Patrick provides accounting support for Aegis Corporation, the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation, Community Insurance Corporation, WCA Brokerage Services and American Insurance Marketing Services. Patrick graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. He has a major in Finance with an emphasis in Risk and Insurance.

Wendy Sparks, Accounting Supervisor

Wendy has worked in the accounting field for over 25 years. She has experience doing most levels and tasks of a corporate accounting department, from accounts receivable and payable to financial statements, corporate taxes and business ownership. Since starting at Aegis Corporation, she has gained experience with statutory accounting working with the Wisconsin County Mutual and Community Insurance Corporations.
