The Executive Staff of Aegis Corporation is responsible for overall
management and operations of the organization. In addition to management
direction of Aegis Corporation, the Executive Staff provides its
knowledge, management oversight and strategy development for all client
programs.
Robert
D. Wurtz, CPCU, President

As President, Mr. Wurtz oversees all operations of Aegis Corporation
and serves as the direct head of operations for the administrator for
the underwriting, claims management and accounting functions. He is
responsible for the negotiation and securing of reinsurance for the
various programs administered by Aegis Corporation.
Mr. Wurtz serves as a major consultant to the Board of Directors and
the Underwriting Committee for the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance
Corporation. He also serves as a consultant to the Investment Committee
of the County Mutual.
As underwriting executive, Mr. Wurtz’ duties include structure,
design and implementation of client programs which return profit to
clients. In support of client programs, Mr. Wurtz is responsible for
data accumulation, organization, and analysis for pricing and reserving
for presentation to actuaries. He also designed and implemented Aegis
Corporation’s Risk Management Information System (RMIS) database,
which is utilized by the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation.
With over 30 years experience in the insurance and risk management
industry, Mr. Wurtz previously served as Vice President of the
Association and Special Risks Department of Frank B. Hall and Company.
Prior, he was the Underwriting Manager at CNA for the company’s
Milwaukee and Detroit offices. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from
the University of Minnesota and has had a Chartered Property and
Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation since 1972.

A. Dirkse, Executive Vice President

As the General Administrator of the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance
Corporation, Mr. Dirkse oversees all phases of the daily operations of
the County Mutual. His specific responsibilities include acting as a
major consultant to clients’ loss prevention committees, claims review
committees and underwriting committees. As a consultant to the loss
prevention committees, Mr. Dirkse is responsible for recommendations and
maintenance of the risk management programs and training of clients’
personnel responsible for risk management and supervisory functions.
Mr. Dirkse and his staff of professional risk management and loss
control consultants conduct over 300 client-oriented, in-service
training seminars annually. These sessions consist of
department-specific training on topics such as CDL drug and alcohol
programs, blood borne pathogens education and awareness, sexual
harassment/diversity/sensitivity training, and conflict resolution in
the workplace. They also perform loss control inspections and videotape
loss control environments.
In addition to his other responsibilities, Mr. Dirkse has a primary
responsibility for the direct marketing activities of the Wisconsin
County Mutual Insurance Corporation and other clients.
Mr. Dirkse has nearly 30 years experience in the insurance and risk
management industry, serving most recently as Assistant Vice President
of the Association and Special Risks Department of Aegis Corporation and
Company. Prior, he was an Account Executive for Alexander and Alexander,
Inc., a major international insurance brokerage and risk management
services organization. Mr. Dirkse began his career with Liberty Mutual
Insurance Company as a Worker’s Compensation Specialist.
Andrea Wilson, Executive Adminitrative Assistant/Human Resources

Ms. Wilson serves as the head of human resources for the firm and has been with the company since May of 2004. She previously worked in the financial services industry, working both in sales and marketing in an administrative function.
