At Aegis Corporation we consider everyone in the organization as
ambassadors of our clients’ products and of the services we provide.
Often, we are asked to represent our clients in presenting new business
proposals, renewal proposals, deductible selection consulting, cost saving
recommendations, and general client contact.
We do employ people specifically to market our clients’ products and
services under our administration agreements. Their job is to promote to
prospective members the benefits of participation through purchasing our
clients products and services.

Kim
R. Hurtz, Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Ms. Hurtz consults for the
Wisconsin Counties Association Group Health Trust and oversees the
counties belonging to the self-insured medical trust. She is also responsible for Community Insurance Corporation and its program for school districts in Wisconsin.
Ms. Hurtz has over 25 years experience in employee benefits, with 13
years spent at National Insurance Services working with school districts
regarding their employee benefit packages throughout 22 states. She
serves on the Wisconsin Health Underwriters Association Board of
Directors and is a member of the National Health Underwriters. She also
serves on the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials Board
of Directors as the only vendor representative. Ms. Hurtz has been with
Aegis Corporation since 1996.
Darla
M. Hium, Vice President National Marketing

As Vice President of National Marketing, Ms. Hium
specializes in public entity consulting on a group and individual
basis. She is responsible for designing insurance programs and
establishing operational processes that assist clients in managing
successful programs. Her duties also include reviewing clients’
existing insurance programs and recommending program and operational
improvements, as well as implementing consultants' recommendations.
In addition, Ms. Hium designs and facilitates strategic planning
programs for clients; including mission statement development and
organizational goals and strategies. She also works with clients in
designing and managing insurance programs that are cost effective and
responsive to their members’ needs, as well as assists in
preparing management reports and claims analysis.
Ms. Hium brings nearly 30 years of government service to Aegis
Corporation, including 23 years with the Wisconsin Counties
Association. As Deputy Director of the Wisconsin Counties Association,
Ms. Hium coordinated the formation and managed the operations of the
Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation and the WCA Group Health
Trust.
Ms. Hium graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Political Science from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. She
also serves as a guest lecturer for political science classes through
out the University of Wisconsin system. Ms. Hium has served on the
Board of Directors of the University of Wisconsin Certified Public
Managers Program and the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce in Monona,
Wisconsin. She has been with Aegis Corporation since 2002.
Phyllis
Nufer, Benefits Consultant

Ms. Nufer works closely with the Wisconsin Counties Assoication's
Group Health Trust in the area of benefits. Her duties include plan
benefits, consulting, document review and maintenance, field
underwriting and rating, benefit design and options, customer and member
service and claims inquiries.
She has nearly 25 years of experience in the benefits and human resources
field and has been with Aegis Corporation since 2001.
