Aegis Corporation's DeWitt Named Chair of Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin's Safety Committee 

Aegis Corporation of Brookfield, Wisconsin today announced that Debra DeWitt, Senior Risk Management Consultant for the company, has been named the chairperson of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin's Safety Committee for 2003.

"Debra's appointment as chair of this statewide committee demonstrates her level of expertise in the field of construction safety," said John A. Dirkse, Aegis Corporation Executive Vice President. "She is a huge asset to our organization and her dedication to safety issues is second to none. We believe her new role as chair will serve to reinforce her commitment to the risk management services she performs every day."

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin is a construction trade association representing nearly 900 contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and other professional construction-related firms in the state.

Ms. DeWitt has over 15 years of experience in the loss control field and her duties focus on construction safety compliance and training, as well as loss control and safety training for Aegis Corporation. "I look forward to serving with my peers from around the state to ensure that safety in the construction industry remains at the forefront of every building project," said Ms. DeWitt. "I am honored to have been chosen as chair of the Safety Committee and anticipate a productive and exciting year." 

A certified OSHA instructor, Ms. DeWitt graduated from the OSHA Training Institute. In addition, she holds a diploma in Practical Nursing from Lakeshore Technical College and is currently registered in the State of Wisconsin.

Active in the construction industry, Ms. DeWitt is also involved with several other organizations, including the Professional Society of Safety Engineers. In addition, she has served as president of the Construction Safety Association of the Fox Valley since 1999.
